- Our last meeting was held on Aug 27th face-to-face as planned. Ralph (KE5HDF) hosted the meeting along with ~12 others in attendance, Zoom not working. Dom (N5TCB) proposed we *not* participate in Dickens on the Strand as originally planned. Reasons for this decision: not enough club interest (need at least 4 people), security risks, too far to travel for elderly members, we are a Houston club and should focus on the Houston area. Dom also passed around a useful shack addition - the audio mixer. His is the Mix8; more information can be found here. Martin Denning (W5XUK) gave us a facinating presentation about the history of his WW2 tank transciever. The slide deck he presented can be found on the downloads page. Topics/presentaions planned for the Sept. meeeting are Radiograms and JOTA (here is a preview). The youTube recording of the August meeting can be found here.
