Oak Forest Amateur Radio Club - About UsThe Oak Forest Amateur Radio Club is commited to further the exchange of information and cooperation between members to promote radio knowledge, fraternalism and individual operating efficiency. In the spirit of these objectives, the club endeavors to:
- Conduct open meetings for the discussion of amateur radio topics
- Provide instruction and training of individuals to develop or improve skills as amateur radio operators
- Promote basic and applied research, instruction and dissemination of technical knowledge
- Maintain the ability to furnish commincaton services for Civil Defense, Red Cross, state, federal, county and municipal agencies or such charitable organizations during times of emergency or distress
- Provide disaster relief and public service
The Oak Forest Amateur Radio Club was founded by a few members of the Masonic Lodge #1398 who also had a strong interest in amateur radio. The club was registered with ARRL with club call KE5TRB in August, 2007.
