Announcements
- At the July meeting, Martin gave a demonstration of tuning an antenna and an excellent presentation on antennas in general. The minutes for the meeting and a link to his presentation can be found at the Meetings tab above.
- The theme of the August meeting is again "hands-on". Bring your toys to demonstrate techniques to fellow club members. Toys/test equipment might include portable antennas, HTs, SWR meters, power meters, vector network analyzers, tuners, station monitors and the like.
- Don (KG5PFN) plans give a presentation on "Knots for hams" and to brings some ropes for us to practice with.
- See the Events tab about for the latest schedule for 2m Net Control Operators. Stephen has dropped off the volunteer list and it would be a big help if someone could volunteer to fill his spot. It's not that hard; all you have to do is read the SCRIPT... our nets pretty much run themselves!!
- Repairing an old rig or want to learn more about an old radio you heard about or saw at a hamfest? Check out the online radio museum here.
- Contact Mark if you are interested in License exam testing. Also, see the "Exam Sessions" link above for more information.
- If you have a photo of your ham shack or favorite operating location, please send it on and I'll post them for all our members see... and comment!! Please include your callsign in the photo. Images submitted so far can be found here!
- If you'd like to be added to our email reflector and share in the dialog between club members and local area hams, send me a request.
